aluminium sheets
hold consists of two aluminium sheet pieces, where soft indentations were created over time on the surface of the material. Softness through materiality and making was established by practicing slow, gentle and soft marks/dents onto the surface of the material. The work holds these indentations by pushing hard and soft objects/body parts into the metal sheet, as the soft nature of the material lent itself to various weights. These subtle methods of making are a reference to a new treatment of material, embodying acts of softness where previous works speak to rough processes of making within the artist's practice.
